Through a criminal trial in the state of California, justice served against sex offenders carries jail terms that are meant as punishment for the crimes committed against their victims. While this is a significant steps in terms of offering some sense of justice for the victims and their families, it does not address the well-being or financial damages endured by the survivors of abuse.
